the field is prepped and the plants arrive, planting , keeping it straight and many hands making light work.
They need lots of water to keep hydrated . It’s hot!
Hoeing , watering and the pumpkin plants are getting bigger with the flowers starting to show. Towards the end of the month, the first signs of pumpkins appear.
The plants starting to die back exposing the variety of pumpkins including the white “ghost” pumpkin.
Getting ready to cut the pumpkins from the plant. Later in the month they are all cut and ripening in the early autumn sunshine waiting to be picked.
